Courtney Behrens, LCSW
Courtney has over ten years working with a variety of populations in multiple settings. She is passionate about developing deep connections and supporting individuals through various journeys in life.
Courtney graduated from Aurora University in 2016. Additionally, she has worked with youth, young adults, children and their parents. She has extensive knowledge LGBTQ+ populations and in gender identity development and creates a very open and supportive atmosphere for clients to explore themselves. She is also trained in providing CBT based groups for a variety of clients. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, nature and endurance sports.
Courtney works with clients with anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ individuals, perinatal mental health concerns and infant grief and loss.
Courtney is currently seeing clients in the office and via virtual visits.
Elliott Lugo, LCSW, CADC
Elliott has been providing mental health counseling services in a variety of settings for 13 years. He graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and from Aurora University in 2016 with a Masters in Social Work.
Elliott provides a safe, calm, and non-judgmental space for his clients to be themselves, warts and all. He also works to break complex issues down into easy-to-understand language to make the most effective use of time in sessions. He is trained in a variety of therapy styles, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic Psychology, and Acceptance-Commitment Therapy. However, regardless of what type of therapy being used, Elliott's priority is making sure his clients feel heard, valued, understood, and empowered to work on building new skills to deal with the problems they're currently having.
Elliott works with teens and adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, ADHD, substance abuse, parenting difficulties, building healthy relationships, and finding purpose in life.
Elliot is seeing clients via virtual visits.
Emily Kunash, LCPC, CAADC, CIEC
Dual licensed in Substance Abuse and Mental Health Counseling since 2012, Emily has facilitated thousands of clients in Wisconsin and Illinois in their growth. She graduated in 2006 from Carroll College (University) with a Bachelors in Psychology and Florida Gulf Coast University in 2010 with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling.
Emily was a multi-sport athlete at Brookfield Central High School in Poms and Diving and has been a stage performer from a young age. She has continued her passion in fitness and sports as a runner and group fitness instructor.
She has extensive training in CTB, DBT, Intuitive Eating, Multiple Channel Exposure Therapy for trauma, and substance use disorders.
Emily treats clients struggling with anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and substance abuse. Emily also works with athletes for sports performance improvement.
